Did you know...

that Planned Parenthood is not a benevolent organization trying to strengthen women's rights. It is a cold, calculating group intent on spreading the Humanist religion, luring our children into their web of premarital sex and unlimited abortions, reducing the population of minorities in particular and filling its coffers with the profits from sales of birth control devices.

Have you not heard of that madman who lit a cigarette in the bright morning hours, ran to the market place, and cried incessantly: "I seek an abortionist! I seek an abortionist!" ---As many who did not believe in abortion were standing around just then, he provoked much laughter. Have they gotten lost? asked one. Did they lose their way like a child? asked another, ironically nodding to his friend, who gave him a thumbs up. Or are they hiding? Are they afraid of us? Have they gone on a voyage? emigrated? ---Thus they yelled and laughed

The madman jumped into their midst and pierced them with his eyes. "Whither is the abortionist?" he cried; "I will tell you. We have killed him---you and I. All of us are his murderers. But how did we do this? How could we drink up the saline? Who gave us the sponge to wipe away the splattered fragments of skull? What were we doing when we unchained this culture from tradition and false morality? Whither will the irresponsible preggoes move now? Whither are we moving? Away from all sons? Are we not plunging continually into own metaphorical uterii? Backward, sideward, forward, in all directions? Is there still any up or down? Are we not straying, as through an infinite nothing? Do we not feel the breath of an empty womb? Has it not become colder in here, what with less body heat? Is not the spectre of the hanger continually closing in on us? Do we not need to light lanterns in the morning because we lack an underclass to staff our powerplants? Do we hear nothing as yet of the noise of the gravediggers who are burying the abortionists? Do we smell nothing as yet of the vulagr decomposition? Abortionists, too, decompose. Abortion is dead. Abortion remains dead. And we have killed it.

It is an unfortunate condition in our country that minority groups are among the poorest, least educated members of our society. Planned Parenthood makes it possible for the impoverished, not necessarily minority groups, to rescue children from lives as victims of economic disparity while the often too young mothers do things like, say, finish high school. My own child was similarly rescued when I was a fifteen year old girl, thanks to advocates like Planned Parenthood who fight for the right to choose, not just among the middle class teens whose parents can whisk them in for a quiet procedure, but also the poor children of raging alcoholics, the drug addicted, the economically crucified, the chronically irresponsible, and kids who simply are not ready to face the stigma of pregnancy or who are not prepared for motherhood. And the popular adage of the Pro-Lifers, "If you are old enough to have sex, you are old enough to take responsibility for the consequences of that action" is patent bullshit as children in economically destroyed areas have sex at younger and younger ages, say 12, 13, and 14. Fuck, it happens now in every economic situation, and there has never, never, never been a 13 year old child produced by our culture who is remotely ready for motherhood. You pro-lifers have this attitude as though a person in a difficult position should be punished for their sexual transgression, like they need to learn some lesson. How many of us have had unprotected sex in the heat of passion and crossed our fingers that there would be no "result" to that action? It's not something we like to admit in our culture of shame, but the number is very high, and guess what? Having an episode of unprotected sex in some irresponsible moment does not mean that you "deserve" to have a baby. It means you fucked up. And you have a choice, a choice, a choice in how you care to deal with that. Planned Parenthood is a savior among the poor, among the people foolish enough to make a mistake, among the teenagers who are simply not ready, and Planned Parenthood does not simply provide access to affordable abortions. They also offer sliding scale birth control and free condoms as preventative measures. No one ENJOYS abortions, as you pro-lifers like to suggest, but they are a free woman's or girl's right and her personal cross to carry. Not yours. Planned Parenthood is not trying to perform some stealthy eugenics plan: They are making the same choices available to everyone regardless of economic or other oppressions. Don't we punish our poor enough? How can it be suggested that the wealthy should have a greater right to such options than anyone else? And if you think that they are proponents of abortion as birth control, you are completely wrong. After a woman makes her decision to abort, Planned Parenthood establishes free birth control for months after the procedure, to help ensure that such a tragic mistake does not have to happen again, and affordable birth control thereafter.

Thank God for Planned Parenthood.

You.

Who is my 'you'? The person who posted this outrageous pro-life propaganda. I realize that most of the people on this blog are not the pro-life-at-all-costs type, or not the type to litter a perfectly good, unpolitical blog with dated propaganda over a tired issue. But, alas and alack, someone did it, and I needed to respond. Please, moderate and sensible peers, do not feel accosted by my use of 'you.' Unless you are the 'you' who created the post. Then, by all means, feel accosted.

Just take a look at this again...Planned Parenthood is not a benevolent organization trying to strengthen women's rights. It is a cold, calculating group intent on spreading the Humanist religion, luring our children into their web of premarital sex and unlimited abortions, reducing the population of minorities in particular and filling its coffers with the profits from sales of birth control devices.

now do you really think any of us would post something like this while thinking "yeah... I agree!" I highly doubt it. I might be mistaken but I think perhaps it might have been posted a bit tongue-in-cheek... hmmm

That's what I initially thought, but it made me angry anyway. I love Planned Parenthood like I love ice cream and sunshine, and there are people who really do believe in that propaganda. Many of them.

I guess part of the problem is I have no idea who this Cue person is. Who is this Cue person?
